To measure, you will need a tape measure and either the Room Sketch sheet you downloaded at the beginning or a piece of paper to record your measurements. For better results, measure the areas twice.(Step 1) Measure the length and width of each room at its longest or widest point. Add 6 inches to each measurement.*(Step 2) Multiply your length and width measurements to determine the total square footage of the room.(Step 3) Add the square footage totals together** if looking at the same product in multiple rooms.
