How to measure your rooms
If you are measuring your areas, or are measuring with the help of one of our associates during a virtual consultation, either method will provide approximate room dimensions. These dimensions can be used for budgeting, quoting, securing financing, or putting money down on the project. Final pricing will require an onsite field measure by one of Martin's Flooring estimators.
If you don't know what type of steps you have, please upload a photo here. If you are using your mobile phone to complete the form, take a picture and select the image.
To measure, you will need a tape measure and a piece of paper to record your measurements. For accurate results, measure the areas twice.
(Step 1) Measure the length and width of each room at its longest or widest point. Add 6 inches to each measurement.*
(Step 2) Multiply your length and width measurements to determine the total square footage of the room.
(Step 3) Add the square footage totals together** if looking at the same product in multiple rooms.
Record your measurements and room name in the area below. If measuring multiple rooms, click the "+" for another row.
