Regular damp mopping with a neutral floor cleaner is usually all you will need to do to keep your floor looking bright and beautiful. No waxing is necessary with these floors, and most of them are naturally very stain resistant and waterproof.
If any build-up does occur on them over time, you can apply an easy process to get your floor looking good as new again. A stripper can be used to get the build-up off of the floor. After that, a restorer can be used to revive the beauty of your floor’s finish. All this can be carried out with a damp mop, and no special equipment is necessary.
Luxury Vinyl Tile is one of the most durable products available, and is naturally scratch and dent resistant. However, it is still a wise idea to use floor protectors on furniture to reduce the risk of damage. As a general rule of thumb, the heavier the item, the wider the floor protector needed. It is also a good idea to place a walk-off mat at outside entrances to reduce the amount of dirt brought into your home. We do not recommend the use of rubber or latex-backed mats, because they can permanently stain your floor. We suggest a nonstaining vinyl-backed mat or a woven rug that is identified as “Colorfast”.
